Two posts in one setting... gotta love it!
I'm going to share with you guys over the time we're here links and images of different school's uniforms from around the country.
First off: the links!
I cannot go any further without sharing an inspiration for this site: MG Helmets.
If he can find the helmet from high school, college, pros (Canada and USA), he'll make it and stick it on his site. The gentleman who runs the site is a nice fellow who has shared with me how to design and create my own football helmets on the computer. When I finally get a picture of Madison HS (ID)'s new football helmet, I'm sending it too him! Check him out regularly!
Someone who prodded me into doing this site: icedawg316 from the uflaccess.com message boards! He also has a website called XFLInsider.com. Some interesting insights to a league I know I wanted to succeed found there.
Finally - UniWatch Blog. FOR ALL of your uniform needs... head over there. I cannot come CLOSE to what they've done! Especially for keeping track of the uniforms from the Oregon Ducks...
Secondly: Requests!
If you have any pictures you've taken of your local high school football team in their uniform, send them to highschoolunis@gmail.com. If you find them at a newspaper site, blogsite, etc; please let us know so we can shoot them an email just to get permission. We don't want to step on any toes here.
Also, in the email let us know what High School it is, where it is located, home or away (or for a matter of fact - both schools) and the mascot. Plus, what type of football they play (ie - six-man, eight-man, eleven-man, twelve-man). When this keeps growing, we'll keep a ticker for all the states going on the right side.
Tertiary: Special Request!
If you have any pictures of Creswell HS (Creswell, NC), Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC), or for schools in northeastern NC; Hampton Roads, VA; or eastern ID; I'd be overjoyed.
I graduated from Lawrence Academy and went to Creswell from K through eighth grades. The rest of those areas, well, I've done a lot of tromping through the wilds there and it'd be wonderful to see some of those unis! C'mon you Tigers, Warriors, Truckers, Diggers, Patriots, Bookers, etc... you know you want too!!
