Let's get this ball rolling right!
Why do a blog about High School Football Uniforms?
One sense of local pride is as close as the books, clothes, and high school memories we either cherish or want to forget (not sure how this is a form of - let's move on, shall we?).
We were/are/will be Diggers, Patriots, Tigers, Papermakers, etc. We traveled to our local stadium to watch our guys take the field, our daughters (and sometimes sons) grab pom poms, signs, or megaphones to get the crowd riled up, and our husbands (and maybe wives) take to the side lines to coach or run the chains.
The warm, late summer evenings lead to brisk and autumnal nights. Coats become commonplace as do yelling, screaming, and sideline game calling.
It's football season.
It's the local grid iron of 80 or 100 yards of bust or glory.
Two teams meet with six, 8, 9, or 11 (12 if you're in Canada) aside on the field at a time. For four quarters, nine plus games a season, and only one team per division a state to be crowned champion, this is the end of the road for most people's grid iron dreams.
But the colors, the atmosphere, the local pride will continue to live on.
This is why I chose to create a blog for High School Football Uniforms - to help people share their memories with everyone around the country.
Welcome, and we hope you enjoy your stay!
